Raggedy Ann & Andy Dolls

NB: I am sorry but I  cannot make these characters into rag dolls for sale
as I do not own copyright on them.

Raggedy Ann began life as a cartoon illustration created by Jonny Greulle an American Artist. In 1915 he registered Raggedy Ann as a trademark and made and sold hand-crafted Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy. It is alleged that a candy heart with the words 'I love you' was put in the chest of each doll.

Above is a picture of one of the stories written in the 1960's  about the two dolls Raggedy Ann and Andy.

I had a good look at the illustrations in the 1960's story book and from them, designed my own Raggedy Ann doll.

Her cheerful smile is so heartwarming, don't you think?
