THE BRIEF:  ‘Hi, I was wondering if you would consider doing a one-off cloth doll of Kathryn Hepburn, the actress, at any age… I would really appreciate your help, as living in Australia such opportunities are rare, VERY RARE. My sister's 40th is coming up in August and she adores Kathryn Hepburn. Please, please, please help...’ 

 

Working in cloth to emulate a famous character is particularly hard and to make a cloth doll like a film star is always a challenge...

 

Katherine Hepburn also has a widow's peak hairline and a very angular face with prominent cheekbones, which makes it even more challenging! 

 

Her hair is needle-felted Yadeno Mohair.
