A nursery-style Japanese rag doll, made in 1997, South Brent, Devon. Made & designed by Sara Maddocks. 

She was my first attempt at embroidered features. She has black acrylic wool hair and fingered hands.

 

Jasmine
A nursery-style Chinese rag doll, made in 2003, South Brent, Devon. Made & designed by Sara Maddocks. 

I made her clothes contemporary with a Chinese style Mandarin collar and long straight pinafore dress. Her features are also embroidered. I used black crochet cotton for her hair.
She was another commission.
