Red Haired Doll  

I had great fun creating this doll in June 2002. 

Her hair is made from rug wool with embroidery silks of bright colours wrapped around 2 short folded strands. The strands themselves are then unravelled and arranged on the head to give a super, funky look. 

Her face is a mix of fabric paint and embroidery silks and her shoes are fabric painted with ribbons around the top edge. Her fingers have been stitched-in and then fabric stiffener applied to mould the hands into shape.  

She measures 20"/51 cm from head to toe.
