Fantasy Flapper Dolls

Mary Quant

I made Mary Quant, a '1920's Flapper' doll, (based on a design by Hilarie Berzins) with my own modifications in March 2000. She is now owned by a good friend and neighbour (and the cat has finally accepted her presence in pride of place in the sitting room!) She has an embroidered face and 2 shades of Chenille wool for her hair. Her hands have sewn fingers and her stylish shoes are in dark blue fabric.

Drew
I also made a second doll from the same pattern. She reminded me of Drew Barrymore, so that's why I call her Drew.

PLEASE NOTE: The pattern for these dolls can be found in The Book of Doll Making by Alicia Merrett. Apple Press (1998) ISBN: 1850769583
